So, this treatment takes us right back to the beginning. How?
When we are born, we are almost flawless; perfect skin and the body’s
vital organs in perfect working order, rather like a brand new car!
As we grow we need to put the correct ‘fuel’ into our bodies to maintain this perfect working order and balance. But as the years go by, we eat & drink the wrong things, sometimes a bit too much, drugs & medication affect the body’s natural functions, busy lifestyles get in the way of regular exercise, and we suffer stress in our everyday lives. All these things can add up to some serious damage to our vital organs & systems and this damage will slow itself to us in a variety of sometimes painful or dangerous ways;
Poor blood circulation, sluggish digestive system, poor metabolism, red veins, fat, cellulite, fluid retention, poor skin condition and so on.
These imperfections and many others are what we call the body’s ‘Altered Condition’.

What
causes the ‘Altered Condition’?
One of the major causes is STRESS, which causes the body to produce excess
adrenaline (the “fight or flight” hormone). The body
produces adrenaline all the time, it enables us to think clearly
and to move
quickly. This is the positive adrenaline. When excess adrenaline
is produced, this
is negative, and it is this negative adrenaline that harms the
body and its vital organs.
Excess adrenaline causes the smooth muscles of the body to contract and tighten, e.g. the digestive system. It also causes capillary walls to contract, affecting the circulation, which in turn impedes the supply of oxygen and vital nutrients to the cells.
Remember, we are not aiming to eliminate stress altogether, but to neutralise this excess adrenaline.
So
what is the first step?
We need to relax every single cell of the body, not only physically but mentally
too. All clients will begin their course of treatments with relaxing oil.
What
actually happens during a treatment?
The Therapist will apply a blend of products to your body. These products
have been scientifically researched to work in tune with your vital organs.
You
will then be wrapped and left to totally relax in a warm, soothing
atmosphere for 30 mins. \While you are relaxing, the natural ingredients
and your own
body thermostat will be working to neutralise that excess adrenaline,
drain harmful toxins, relax your muscles and begin re-activating your
circulation,
lymphatic system and metabolism.
How
often do I have to have treatments?
Initially you will need to come in weekly for several weeks so that we
can assess how you are feeling and what we need to do in the treatment.
As you
know you will start your course with relaxing treatments, then
possibly move on to draining, re-activating and toning treatments. If
you continue using
Home Care products, we may then just see you once a month for a
totally intensive treatment to beat the stress and keep your body and
mind in tip top condition!
Where
does the Home Care come into it?
This is an equally important part of your course of treatment. In between visits
to the Therapist you will be using one or more products at home. Your Therapist
will always be able to advise you if needed, but as you progress on the course
you will begin to know which products you need to use.
For example: If you are feeling stressed or under pressure the Therapist will need you to use Relaxing Bath oil or Body Oil at home 2 or 3 times a week. Then when you have your appointment at the salon, the Therapist can move you on to Draining, Re-activating or Toning treatments.
Remember,
this a treatment plan customised for each individual client. As the ‘altered
condition’ and the ‘imperfection’ appeared
over a period of time, we are looking at a recovery programme
in a time scale not a “quick
fix” in a set number of treatments.
